Our Mission

The Jackson Hole Film Institute, a non-profit organization, was founded to empower independent filmmakers and global audiences through film and new media.

In recent years, the Institute has organized and produced the Jackson Hole Film Festival to showcase independent filmmakers' works. The Jackson Hole Film Festival has featured independent films competing in over 8 different categories including: World Program, Features, Documentaries, Shorts, Global Insight, Sports Action, Student Voices and Audience Choice Award. Provocative forum discussions and lively evening events enrich the Festival and give festival goer’s the opportunity to interact with filmmakers in a casual setting.

In order to put on events such as the Jackson Hole Film Festival, the Institute needs public and private support. If you are interested in learning more about the Institute or supporting its efforts, including the Jackson Hole Film Festival, please click here.
